Commentary

Caesarean section rates in the ACT and Australia have risen over the past two decades.  This has coincided with factors such as increasing maternal age, increasing use of assisted reproductive technology 1

In 2016, caesarean section rates in the ACT were similar to Australia, at 31.3% and 33.8% respectively.
