In 2016, cannabis was the most widely used illicit drug in the ACT, followed by the misuse of prescription painkillers and opioids and misuse of other pharmaceuticals. It was reported that:

  • 8.4% used marijuana/cannabis
  • 2.2% used ecstasy
  • 1.9% used cocaine.
